Vision Mission

Vision and Mission

The need for skilled training people for the development of a country is essential. The more developed and trained people in the world where the world is more developed, the more developed. If human resources are not usable then it has no value. If there is a lot of natural resources or mineral resources in a state, the economic development of that state is not guaranteed, unless the state can use those resources in a suitable scheme. Similarly, the state will not improve if there is a large number of people. If those people can use it in productive work through appropriate education and planning, then that population can play a role in the development of the state.

Technical education that can be employed in a particular profession by using education in its real life. The education that is skilled for selecting a suitable occupation or career again, as a vocational education to him. After receiving technical education, the student or person does not have to wait for job selection. He can independently find a job in conformity with the education he has acquired. The opposite of general education, that is, does not match work with the acquired education. In terms of technical education, some relaxation is shown in the age. Technical education for a disadvantaged student or for some reason may be successful in many ways. The main condition of such education is patience, hard work and practice. In the development of skill, it is applicable only for technical education. The main success of this education is to apply it in the practical field. The objective of this is to make the student or person capable of making specific technical issues in the next life, promoting local small industries at their own initiative, and by electing the freely chosen scholarship to make the human and natural resources of the country in a simple way.

In order to properly utilize this huge population of our country, it is necessary to spread technical and vocational education. The population of about 16 million people is the main tool of development. One third of our population is less than 15 years of age and less useful people. At present, the poverty rate in the country is more than 30 percent, and nearly 2 million people enter the labor market every year. Most of them are either unemployed, or are in semi-unemployed conditions. Those who have the opportunity to work, they are also forced to work in low wages and opportunities due to lack of skills. As a result, their lives are underdeveloped and lacking are the constant companions. Besides, many people of our country are going abroad for employment. The foreign currency that they send from abroad to our country is the second largest contributor to the country's foreign exchange earners and this foreign currency has been playing a significant role in our economic development. But 23% of the working people who leave our country abroad are only skilled, the remaining 77% are semi-skilled or inefficient. As a result, they earn very little compared to the other country's workers, and they live in harmony with the benefits of fewer benefits. If we could develop them as skilled laborers, they would have been able to produce quality high quality and earn a lot of foreign currency. Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia and South Korea's GDP are much higher than Bangladesh due to the emphasis on technical and vocational education. In the 1970s, the GDP of these countries were almost equal to us.

The Department of Technical Education was formed in 1960 to promote technical education in Bangladesh. Technical education board was formed in 1967 to make technical education timely. The establishment of a new polytechnic institute was made prominent in the education of independent Bangladesh and existing reforms were made in the existing institutions. The new vocabulary training institute was established in the expansion of occupational profession. Currently, six months to one year certificate course, four year diploma courses in technical education. 49 Government Polytechnic Institute of the country, vocational training institute and specialized institutions conduct these courses.
